Large deviations for currents in the spin-boson model

چکیده

We consider a finite quantum system coupled to quasifree thermal reservoirs at different temperatures. Under the assumptions of small coupling and exponential decay of the reservoir correlation function, the large deviation generating function is shown to be analytic on a compact set. Our method is different from the spectral deformation technique which was introduced recently in the study of spinboson-like models. As a corollary, we derive the Gallavotti-Cohen fluctuation relation for the entropy production.

Measurement of the properties of a Higgs boson in the four-lepton final state

The properties of a Higgs boson candidate are measured in the H → ZZ → 4l decay channel, with l 1⁄4 e, μ, using data from pp collisions corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.1 fb−1 at the centerof-mass energy of ffiffi s p 1⁄4 7 TeV and 19.7 fb−1 at ffiffi s p 1⁄4 8 TeV, recorded with the CMS detector at the LHC. The new boson is observed as a narrow resonance with a local significance...

روش انتگرال مسیر برای مدل ‌هابارد تک نواره

We review various ways to express the partition function of the single-band Hubard model as a path integral. The emphasis is made on the derivation of the action in the integrand of the path integral and the results obtained from this approach are discussed only briefly.   Since the single-band Hubbard model is a pure fermionic model on the lattice and its Hamiltonian is a polynomial in creat...

Measurement of the properties of a Higgs boson in the four-lepton final state

The properties of a Higgs boson candidate are measured in the H → ZZ → 4` decay channel, with ` = e, μ, using data from pp collisions corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.1 fb−1 at the center-of-mass energy of √ s = 7 TeV and 19.7 fb−1 at √ s = 8 TeV, recorded with the CMS detector at the LHC. The new boson is observed as a narrow resonance with a local significance of 6.8 standard de...

Observation of a new boson at a mass of 125 GeV with the CMS experiment at the LHC

Results are presented from searches for the standard model Higgs boson in protonproton collisions at √ s = 7 and 8 TeV in the Compact Muon Solenoid experiment at the LHC, using data samples corresponding to integrated luminosities of up to 5.1 fb−1 at 7 TeV and 5.3 fb−1 at 8 TeV. The search is performed in five decay modes: γγ, ZZ, W+W−, τ+τ−, and bb. An excess of events is observed above the e...

Measurements of the Properties of the Higgs Boson Using the Atlas Detector

In July 2012, the ATLAS [1] and CMS Collaborations announced the discovery of a new particle [2, 3] at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN in the context of the search for the Higgs boson of the Standard Model of Particle Physics (SM). Since then, with an increased dataset, improved detector understanding and refined analysis strategies, a wide range of properties of this new particle has b...
